Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American actor, performer and songwriter for several years. When she was a kid she was subjected to racial taunts by many people in America. If she attended school contests and received high praise for her singing, in ninth grade, the girl began to grow more confident. The experience not only increased the confidence of her, but altered the direction in which she went on to pursue her professional career. The 22-year-old earned a degree from Julliard School in New York. She was 23 when she had her first Broadway show with Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her debut film, You've Got Mail were both her big breaks. The greatest achievement of her career was in the role of The Lady of The Lake on Spamalot's first Broadway production. She did not only get the Tony Award, but her performance was also praised by critics. The recognition grew even more when she appeared in Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. As a professional singer, she's also produced a single as well as an extended work. In addition, she's an activist who is a tireless advocate to protect LGBT rights.
