Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American author and designer who has won numerous awards for her works. She has been a vocal advocate for the rights of animals. Her films include Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) as well as The Getaway ( 1972). In New York, she was born into an artistic family. When she was a photographer's assistant, she turned her attention to acting and modeling. The first two films she made were noticed, and she was awarded the Golden Globe Award of Most promising newcomer. MacGraw became a global star after her 1970 movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as an award from the Golden Globe. In just three films she was deemed one of the most successful women in box office history. Handprints, signatures and footprints were engraved in 1972 at Grauman's Chinese Theater. Her other credits include The Getaway Convoy Players, TV miniseries The Winds of War and many more. Moving Pictures is her autobiography, published in 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
