Zoe-perry
Perry is daughter to actor Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. She made her first appearances in television shows as Jackie Harris, a character that was played by her mother on her role on the ABC show Roseanne. Her parents did not allow her to perform with her parents till adulthood, as they feared the strain it might cause. Perry admitted that she was too nervous to be an actor in high school but began performing in the theater at Northwestern University as a way to meet new people after she transferred to the university from Boston University. After graduation Perry was able to move back to New York to search for TV work, landing a few roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent But her home-sickness caused her to move back to California which is where she discovered theatre work. In 2013 she performed in The Other Place on Broadway along with her mother. In 2015, she starred together with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prizewinning Drama Anna Christie. The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. In 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family. In 2017, she was a part-time character in the ABC political drama Scandal that starred her father. The actress was also featured on The CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory spin-off Young Sheldon as a version younger Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. Despite the fact that she has a connection with her family to her character, she got the role through an audition.
