Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American actress, performer, and writer who is best known in the role of Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. The musical Bettle performed in Two's Company was her first stage performance in the 1950s. She then acted in numerous Broadway performances before she was a star on national stage with Li'l Abner in 1957. The album was released by her Too Late for Tina the in the same year. Her debut appearance into Hollywood was as Griselda as Griselda in the film God's Small Acre, a 1958 drama. The film received widespread acclaim. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the year category. As an undergraduate of Lee Strasberg, she attended the Actors Studio New York. Her most memorable performance came in 1964. She was signed by CBS for the role of Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her acting career effectively between Broadway as well as Hollywood acting in somber roles against her perceived image of an attractive model. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 as Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. But, over the last few years she has also become a renowned director of popular television programs like Supernatural and The 100. Her family relocated to Essex to Toronto in the year she was born, and there she resided for growing up and in adolescence. When she was selected in 1997 to play Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has been living there ever since.
