Lita Rossana Ford is born in Britain and was an American musician, singer as well as music writer. In the late 70s she was the lead guitarist for the hard-rocking all-girl group The Runaways. The group failed to gain a lot of attention within their home country of the United States but earned huge popular internationally, especially in Japan. Ford began a solo heavy metal career after the disbandment of her band in 1979. After taking lessons in singing, she launched her debut solo album, 'Out For Blood'. This was followed by the release of her second album, 'Dancin"On The Edge'. Ford was absent from the scene for several years after the albums did not gain much popularity. In 1988, she released her hit album "Lita". the single 'Kiss me Deadly' and the ballad 'Close My Eyes Forever' were both big hits. Unfortunately, her popularity was only temporary and she was absent from the world of music for a number of decades. Re-emerging with releases of "Black" in 1995 as well as "Wicked Wonderland" which came out almost 15 years following. The album she released was Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
